Consider Life Insurance

Figure out how much coverage you need to protect yourself and your family.

Consider Disability Coverage

If you’re an Hourly Team Member, decide if you need Disability coverage.

Salaried Team Members are enrolled automatically when eligible. Disability is an important benefit that helps keep part of your paycheck coming if you’re unable to work due to illness or injury. (STD is not available in California, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington.)

Check/Update Beneficiaries

Go to Workday to designate or update your beneficiaries. You can change this designation at any time, but during a life event or Open Enrollment is a good time to confirm your elections.

Add Up FSA Savings

If you want an FSA, you must enroll each year. Any elections from last year will not roll over.

Decide if you want Voluntary Benefits

You can enroll in voluntary benefits such as Optional Life and AD&D for you and your dependents, Accident Insurance and Critical Illness Insurance.

This website offers you lots of information. But, if you want to check out your options in one place, see your Enrollment Guide.

Complete Your Wellness Requirement

If you and your spouse/domestic partner are enrolling in a Michaels medical plan, you both must complete an annual physical no later than June 30, 2023 to avoid a wellness surcharge of $25 per person per paycheck.

Be Tobacco Free

If you and/or your spouse/domestic partner use tobacco, including e-cigarettes and non-nicotine vaporizers, $25 per paycheck/$650 for the year will be added to your medical premiums beginning in July. To be considered tobacco-free, you can’t use tobacco products for at least six months, and you can only change your status during Open Enrollment.
