Paid Parental Leave (PPL)
All U.S. full-time exempt Team Members are eligible for Paid Parental Leave (PPL) to support families after the birth, adoption, surrogacy, or legal placement of a child.
The PPL policy covers birthing mothers and all legal non-birthing parents, including dads and domestic partners.

Short-Term Disability (STD) Insurance
Michaels has enhanced our Short-Term Disability (STD) Insurance program for exempt U.S. Team Members to provide a 100% base pay replacement while on short-term disability. This improvement ensures that exempt Team Members do not experience a reduction in pay while they are unable to work due to an illness or medically-required absence.

Adoption Assistance
Interested in adoption? You may be eligible for adoption assistance! Michaels will reimburse you up to $5,000 per adoption to help cover adoption fees, attorney fees, court costs, travel expenses, medical fees for the child, and temporary foster care.
To apply for adoption assistance, you must meet all criteria outlined in the Adoption Assistance Policy and complete the necessary form within six (6) months of the finalization of the adoption.

Tuition Assistance
Michaels offers tuition assistance to help you pay a portion of the cost of your college tuition, or language programs for professional and personal development. Most Team Members are eligible to receive up to $2,000 per year in tuition assistance.
To determine whether you meet the eligibility requirements, please refer to the criteria outlined in the Tuition Reimbursement Policy. To apply for tuition assistance, you must complete the necessary form and obtain written approval from your Supervisor.

Team Member Discount Card
The Michaels Team Member Discount Card offers you and your immediate family:*
- 30% off regular-priced and sale-priced items at all Michaels stores, and
- 65% off all custom framing.
You will receive your discount card from your Supervisor. Make sure to use your card when planning your next craft activity. Just present your card when purchasing items in order to benefit from the savings!
*Immediate family members must live with the Team Member to qualify for the discount.
IdentityWorks Identity Protection
If you enroll in a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) medical plan, you can enroll in no-cost identity protection services for you and your family through IdentityWorks.
IdentityWorks checks for signs that you might be at risk for identity theft, with multiple levels of vital detection and support. They also offer daily credit monitoring and alerts, a U.S.-based Fraud Resolution Team, identity theft insurance, your Experian credit report, and safeguards for your minor children. The program closely monitors your personal information and alerts you to new activity in your name. In the case of a breach, IdentityWorks can help you recover.
