Changing from part-time to full-time or full-time to part-time?

See how it affects your benefits

When you change from part-time to full-time status or from full-time to part-time status, you’ll have different Michaels benefit options.

If You Are Moving from Part-Time to Full Time

Any part-time medical, dental and vision coverage will end and any new full-time coverage you elect will begin immediately as long as you have completed 30 days of employment and enroll in full-time benefits through Workday within 30 days of the status change.

If you add medical and/or dental coverage for dependents, our third-party vendor, Consova, will mail information to your home address about verifying eligibility. Learn more. Remember, coverage for new dependents may be delayed until you complete the dependent verification process.

If You Are Moving from Full-Time to Part-Time

Any full-time medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D, disability, critical illness and accident benefits will end and any part-time Aetna Voluntary Plans coverage you elect will begin the 1st of the month following the status change as long as you have completed 30 days of employment and enroll by phone with Aetna within 30 days of the status change.

Regardless of Your Full-Time or Part-Time Status

and get the same Michaels matching contributions.
